“A woman in birth is at once her most powerful, and her most vulnerable. But any birthing person who has birthed understands that we are stronger than we know.” - Marci Macari.
I have always been amazed at how little people entered this world. The real raw world of birth. Birth is a beautiful design that's worked since the beginning of time, so why is it that some birthing people come out with a bad experience? That is where we come in, we do not empower you but we recognise that you are powerful and encourage your power. We give you the tools to advocate for yourself during labour, to help you to feel comfortable during labour and make sure you have evidence based information to birth your baby. We are your soundboard and at your bedside with non judgemental, physical and emotional support. Postpartum is a very new and different transition. Sometimes you need some guidance and sometimes you just want to sleep. Whatever your body is asking for, we will be able to provide and help you navigate through your new life changing journey. Behind every successful birthing person is a tribe who have their back. We are here to heal, prevent and minimise trauma on birthing people and families.

We respect and honor our birthing families. We support the family as a whole, not just the birthing person. This is because we are a team, a village, and working together will fuel towards the best birth outcome possible. When families come to us for education/ support we understand that they are not there for our opinions. They are there for unbiased, evidence based information so that they can make informed decisions and do what's best for themselves. It's our mission to equip you with the tools needed. We support you if you choose a home birth, a hospital birth, midwife, birth center, epidural, natural birth, VBAC, induction, or spontaneous labour. I am your doula and I will support you in whatever birth choice you make.
-
Nope! Midwives take care of anything medical. Your doula is there for guidance and emotional support, to remind you what your birth wishes are. If you have a home birth you will still need a midwife. Yes we work very well together with midwives.
-
Absolutely! Most doulas serve a couple of hospitals, we frequent these hospitals all the time therefore we have built relationships with the OBs, nurses and midwives. We understand our role in the birthing room.
-
Well, that's why I would advise that we connect and have a phone or video chat. A doula is almost like a partner or a very good friend, you have to find your match! I suggest chatting with at least three doulas before you make your final decision. Birth is not a time where you want to wait for that “bond” to form. When you speak to the right doula you will know.
-
Most definitely! This is what I have been trying to tell you. Each person is unique and has different needs. Let's chat and discover what you are looking for. That way we can decide what's right for you.

For our doula services, there is an initial consultation that is free of charge. Once you’ve narrowed down your desired package and you’re signing the contract, a 50% deposit is needed and then the remainder is due by the 2nd prenatal visit or you are 33 weeks, whichever comes first.
For the prenatal classes and added support, full payment is due upon registration.
